    The Co-living anniversary

My Dear Husband calls me. -We have to go to Madrid to sign some papers on the 15th. As I will be working there, why don't you go by car and we meet there? We can have lunch in the The Pharmacy restaurant. How intriguing! I do not know what papers those are but the most interesting thing is that The Pharmacy Restaurant is just below the first flat my Dear Husband and I shared. Maybe he is suffering from nostalgia! I start looking for somebody to look after the children but nobody is available. Given the shortage of help, I call my brother-in-law, always the last resort but also always available. - can you take care of the children on Friday? You just need to go and pick them up at the bus stop and given them a snack. I will leave dinner ready. - You will owe me a big one for this! - How big? - You have to come to a windsurf course with me next weekend. - No, you know I am very bad at balancing and last time I tried I hit your brother with the board and he had to have 5 stiches! - Then, there is no deal. - OK, Ok, I will go! On Friday 15 I depart to Madrid as soon as the children leave in the school bus. I reach my destination just on time to park my car and go directly to the restaurant. There Dear Husband is, with a smile from ear to ear. - Hello! - Hello love! And he gives me a Pretty Woman kiss as if I was Julia Roberts. - Uhhhmmm, am I missing something? - I think Soon after that the waiter arrives with a bottle of champagne. My mind starts spinning around trying to think what this is about but I fail. Read More

What 10 minutes looks like with and without a toddler around

WITH: How can you be hungry? You just ate! Please stop running. You're going to hurt yourself. See, and now you've run into the wall. Are you ok? I told you running wasn't a good idea. Let me kiss it. Yes, you can have some cookies. I said yes! Please stop yelling! I'm opening the bag right now. Get off the table! The table is not for dancing. No! Don't jump off! Here, let me get you down. Wait, where did you go? What did you put on the dog? Where did you get the peanut butter? Come back! Where are you? Seriously, this isn't funny. Get out of Mommy's closet. Is not a play place! Ugh, you got cookie crumbs on my new blouse. NO! you can go outside without pants on! You're hungry?Again? Read More

When you are a mom, you know you are going to have to deal with this type of things but I was expecting this to happen when she were 13 or 14 years old, not at age 5. - He is coming home for a sleepover. - No, that cannot be - I say. Does his mom know he is here? - Of course mommy, Nico told her this morning. - Nico, sweetie, do you know your mommy’s phone number? - Yes, it is 628 uhhhh… 2 and then 23 34 44 and then 5 Somehow that phone number does not sound right….Read More
